Relevance / Personalization Scientist (Classification / Intent Analysis)
kikin is searching for a Relevance or Personalization Scientist to join our effort to deliver deep web, structured data as rich, relevant information to internet users in a faster, smarter, and better way.
kikin is an application that provides a personalized Internet experience without requiring users to change their behavior. We use client side intelligence and query analysis to derive intent and offer relevant content and service experiences within users browsing stream. With direct access to structured data though our partnerships with key online content, ecommerce, and service providers, kikin displays the most important details in a rich, engaging interface.
We have a novel distribution model, excited investors, and have proven we can make partnerships with key industry players. We are looking for big thinkers who understand the evolution of the Internet and are ready to shift the paradigm.

Your job will be primarily to ask the right questions – and then work on solving them in a team effort.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to Research, Design, Architecture, and Testing of our next-generation Navigation and Personalization Engine
• Collaborate with Engineers and Product Management on development and implementation
• Develop Strategies for long-term Improvement, Competitive Advantage, and alignment to evolving business requirements, user interfaces, performance, and scalability.
• Recommend and Implement new technologies, toolkits etc
Qualifications
• MS/PhD in Interdisciplinary subjects such as information science, information architecture, cognitive psychology, linguistics, computer science, library science, mathematics, statistics and physics.
• Theoretical, Practical, Academic, and Professional experience in relevant IR R&D
• Excellent ability to articulate complex concepts and empirical findings
Mastery of multiple research areas such as:
• Information Retrieval, Personalization, and Behavioral profiling
• Natural Language Processing, Linguistic Information processing
• Computational Linguistics, Semantic Clustering and Analysis
• Symbolic systems, Relationship mapping
• Bayesian statistics, Relevance Feedback Analysis
• Machine learning, Data mining, Subject indexing
• Classification / Taxonomy
• Behavior Analysis / Intent Analysis
